White's Electronics Classic II SL Question

I just bought a White's Electronics Classic II SL at a yard sale for $20.00. I guess this is an older machine. It seems to be like new condition wise. My question is = Is this technology up to date enough for this detector to be useful or am I just in for frustration?

It's a good entry level detector and will do just fine. At $20, you almost stole it

It is a great machine to start out on..............I wish I could find one for 20.00!!!!! The only things at yard sales here are broken old baby toys and womens clothing! Tim

I'm in Florida and the yard sales are great. The only thing better is the fact that I can hit the beach with this dectector just about any month of the year!
