Anyone have experience with the DD 1400?

Im looking at getting a DD 1400 but was wondering if it would even be worht it. I plan on using it at an area that has more salt content than the beach and ocean. Really severe ground. Has anyone here ever used one and what were their opinions of it? How deep does it really go and does it work well in heavy mineralization? Thanks.

I have not used this coil, but from experience the DD coils operate better in mineralized ground better than the concentric. If your area has a extra salt content the least bit of black sand will affect the depth and or stability. But I say, go for it. You never know how it is really going to work in your area till you try.

    Great coil,

Had 2 of them. Well worth the money. I've pulled hundreds of old coins out of the ground with that coil. Covers a ton of ground. Goes very deep also. I highly recommend it. Pick one up used on e-bay for about 150.00. Does very well in bad soils also. Works well on the beaches also.

Has anyone used the big SEF coil on the DFX? The 18 X 15 i think it is.
