Blue Max 256 for Spectrum xlt?

Hi everybody. I have a White's Spectrum XLT I got new in 1995. Does anyone know if a White's Blue Max 256 is compatible with my detector? Thanks, Foiledagain

There are 2 series of coils used on the XLT's.
The 1st were the white colored coils with the blue Whites decal. The 2nd were the Blue max series.
A Blue Max 256 was a predecessor to the now known Blue Max series 950 coil......but---- will only fit on the older series XLT's that use the white colored- blue decal coils.
If your present coil has the "6B" stamped on the left coil mounting tab, then you can use the Blue Max 256.
