There is a BIG difference in saying you are going to use it on a salt water beach and on the wet sand. The Prizm like any land detector will work fine in the salt water dry sand with or without a beach mode.
In the wet sand however things are different. Not all wet sand is the same either as some has higher concentrations of salt and black sand. Some hunters will say they have no trouble with their XXX detector in the wet sand. They fail to state where they are located, what their settings are and their sweep speed.
The most trouble free wet salt water detectors in most cases are a Pulse, but the Excal if going in the wet is a very close second and some would say better than a PI. The Sov GT is an excellent dry sand and wet sand detector. Just not waterproof. Stick a W
WOT or Butterfly coil on it and you equal the depth of a pulse and still have excellent disc and ID.

Thanks sandman,,I been detecting for a long time.I understand what your saying. Was just curious if anybody was having any luck with it.Alot of lower end units will work well in the wet sand because they dont have alot of sensitivity. They just dont detect as deep.
