    Case for MD?

I am thinking about getting a bag for my Classic IDX. Also an older 6000DI/HM. From what I can tell the bags sold by MD stores look a lot like a snowboard bag. Any recommendations? Padded or recommended type of material?

It just depends on who makes the bag. If a detector fits in a snowboard bag and it is cheaper, I say go for it. Padded bags are ok, but if you are that rough with the electronics You can always add more padding. I always thought the idea of the bag was to sell more bags.

I'm thinking in terms of storage and transporting. Make it easier to keep items together and carrying to the car and maybe help protect them. I figure it will help keep pieces together like headphones and diggers so they don't tend to get separated when stored. Thanks.

For traveling across country on the airlines I use a hard Case. Fits in the overhead, no problem with the airlines.

I use the Whites soft bag and really like it I think there $50 new but Mine came with my used detector for an extra $25. It fits the detecor very nicely and has a side pocket for a coulpe of extra coils and is easy to carry.

    Re: Case for MD?

I wound up buying 2 White's bags from Poppa off this site. Two different colors so I can tell them apart. I am very satisfied with them. I wish they were about 6 inches longer but you can't have everything.

I bought a bag for kellyco that allows me to put the V3 in it without having to take it apart. But I went to a local military surplus store and bought an old medic bag with a shoulder strap and lots of pockets ($15.00) to hold battery packs, diggers, headphones, and extra coils. I really like the prices at them surplus stores.
