Re: MXT with the "Bigfoot" Coil ???
I have not used the Bigfoot coil with the MXT but have with my DFX. I have also used the Clean Sweep Coil on my Tiger Shark. Both coils perform the same. Depth is about 6-7 inches but it is hot down the center and has a wide foot print at the bottom of the field so you don't have to overlap as much.
Pinpointing is easy as you just wiggle the coil to keep the response while you slowly back up the coil. When the signal disappears, move the coil slowly forward and as soon as you hear the signal again, the target is just off the tip of the coil. This can be done with the rear too, but you then have the rest of the coil over a new target maybe.

Thanks for the response. Have you found anything good with yours ? Read Jimmy Sierra's website and it says it's compatible with the MXT as well as the DFX. What's your opinion of the Bigfoot ? Worth the investment ? Have you used on the beach in the dry sand ?

Re: MXT with the "Bigfoot" Coil ???
If you need to cover a lot of realestate while not wasting to much time I would say to get the Bigfoot coil. While it is not as deep as a concentric coil, it generates more targets mainly because it covers more ground quickly which is what you need at the dry sand beaches with all the competition out there.
I haven't used the Bigfoot on my DFX at the beach but have the Clean Sweep Coil on my Tiger Shark. Because of the shape of this coil it is harder to control in the surf, but is a killer on the dry sand because of the area covered. Only thing better IMHO is the WOT coil on a Sov GT.
Take care,

Re: MXT with the "Bigfoot" Coil ???
I had a bigfoot with my DFX and LOVED it (the bigfoot - hated the DFX). I sold the DFX and got the M6 (which is now my favorite detector of all time). I got the M6 partly because I had been told that coils were interchangeable between the DFX, the MXT and the M6. While this may be true with White's factory coils, only the front half of the bigfoot coil would work with my DFX. I'd sure do some more research to see if the same is true for the MXT before finding and buying one for it.

Howdy Pard!
The Bigfoot working on the MXT is incredible. You can really cover a ton of ground
without wasting a lot of time. If you are going to work a baseball field or soccer field,
football field or open areas in a park, it is absolutely dynamite! (assuming you have
little or limited trash targets).
It will not go as deep as other coils, but most of the desirable targets are near surface
anyhow unless you are focused on old coins or relics.
Using my MXT and Bigfoot coil, I've found gold rings and earrings that were fairly
small, coins by the bucketful, and silver jewelry a'plenty.
The Bigfoot is going to be on my MXT in most circumstances, and seldom removed.
For depth, I'll go with my V3i using a 10" coil or better.
Hope this helps, but for my money, I think the Bigfoot was an excellent investment.
