V3 to V3i

Does anyone know why the wireless was disabled in the V3?

From White's Site:
"A V3i update is available for Spectra V3. The update adds 8 new features and removes the wireless transfer feature."

It seems we should be getting more communication options, not less.

I called them and they mentioned it was because another manufacturer had patented wireless program transfer between detectors.

What I really want is better USB support :S
