the older Whites 6000 Di Series 3 detectors? Are they a decent machine. Are they still worth anything much? I may be getting one soon that is in near new condition and was wondering whether i should even bother putting it up for sale or not. Appreciate any info as to value. Thanks.

The 6000's are classic, top of the line machines back in the day. I still have one that I use from time to time. In fact It's one of my favorite all time machines, The Whites 6000 Garrett Master Hunter 7 and Fisher 1265's are all worth keeping today.

But are they still worth anything? I messed up and placed a bid on one on e-bay without knowing much about them, and unless someone outbids me i will end up with one i neither want nor need. So i will need to sell it. I would like to at least get my money back on it which would be around $128. Are they worth that much?

Easily worth that much, A friend of mine bought one for $200 about 6 months ago, but it's like anything else.... It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
