SICK V 3 upgraded to V3I Question
Can someone tell me the short version of the difference from the V3 to the V3I. My headphones were not connecting all the time to the V3. I sent it back to the factory and they upgraded at NO x-tra Charge to the V3I ? what did I get? I also was givin a NEW coil too. This is why I have always had a WHITES machine since 1972......

What you gain with the V3i upgrade:
- Support for Foreign languages
- On-board Quick Reference system
- Stereo mix-mode audio
- Polar analysis plot
- Prospecting analysis scan
- Single frequency salt tracking
- Several other minor improvements
What you lost with the V3i upgrade:
- Discontinued wireless data transfer
- Removed recommended gain

Howdy Amigo!
Sure there is. You just check in the expert menu, under audio, and should see wireless headphones there with an option to turn them off or on. I don't have my V3i handy, but recall having an issue with that after I took some real bad advice from another forum and messed up my machine. Imagine my surprise when I went to a competition club hunt and had no headphones working!

You're right. There is connect only. White's got rid of the connect procedure. The default is channel four. And the detector/headphones connect automatically. However, if you select a different channel, you'll have to go through a connect sequence, then.
