    Presets and beyond....

    After reading this forum, learned how to use the MXT beyond it's presets. It was awesome...and DEEP. The tiniest nail (less than 1.5") set it off at 12 inches. Not complaining. Deeper is better. Thanks for the help.

    I have used several different models from the 5 major brands but now use a Whites MXT with D2 DD coil

    If you can take note of what the machines sound is telling you compared to what the screen says it will really do you some good.

    Going into the extra settings on the detector is like messing with the car's radio to get the different sound with more Bass, or balance, fade or treble. You get more enjoyment out of it. But you would do well to place learn the sounds instead of using the disc mode in your eyes to decide if you should dig a target.
