search coil for prizm 3

What will this coil improve? What for she is necessary? anybody worked with her?

I find that on my Prizm IV, I have a lot of trouble accurately pinpointing targets with the 950 search coil. I prefer the smaller one because for me, it seems to work better in terms of pinpointing more closely. Maybe thats just me.
