    Yes after going over all the water detectors......... I will be getting a Beach Hunter 300 for my fresh water hunting around Lake Erie...........

    Smart move Keppy.

    You don't want to be using a PI detector in fresh water. The iron junk never breaks down like it does at the salt water beach.

    Watch out for that coil. It likes to float, so you may need to weigh it down a bit.

    Let us know how you like that multi frequency detector!

    You will like the depth of that larger coil too and it won't float as bad as it does in saltwater. Some of your targets will be deep where your hunting due to the amount of sand on top of the clay or rock base. I suggest a sand filled sock taped to the coil for weight if you think you need it as this way you can remove it easy if you want to do the shore. Let us know how you like it.

    One thing guys i am not putting out the $900.00 for a new one .......... It will be a used one......... That i can check out before i buy.........

    So a White's Beach Hunter 300 over a Tesoro Tiger Shark for the fresh water ?
