Mxt Pro confused me today

Hunting today in relic mode using iron Id tone selection. Got repeatable hi tone but Id showed iron and vdi was negative numbers. PP showed 2 inches so dug it and uncovered indian head nickel. Rescan of hole showed no other targets.

Not sure about the pro but on my MXT in regular relic mode I get the same tone ID if I apply no discrimination, if I apply just a little then I get the grunt for iron and a high tone for everything above the discrimination level. When you learn it good you won't miss much and the 10" D2 coil is killer on the MXT, I can get dimes at 10"+ with that combo. I go to a park thats been pounded over the years and dig only the deep whisper signals thats where the good stuff is left, other people don't even like to hunt it but I still pull silver out of there most every time I've been there.
