    pi pro leaking

It seems I can't keep water from leaking into my pi pro detector. I have the orange gasket but the detector still leaks .It has been sent to whites repair shop 3 times and I still have the same problem . I don't see any visible cracks on the case . Anyone have suggestions? I even tried that silicon lube that some people use.

    Re: pi pro leaking

I have 2, one has the orange gasket, I have had it for at least 15 years, since new, and another that I bought used about 10 years ago with a black O ring, and they have never leaked. Both have been deeper than 100' deep, and often used while wading, but fully submerged. Often diving too. I usually use silicone grease on the O ring. I dont know what is going on, maybe a crack? Sand in the groove? Maybe it is where the cables go through. Or a cable that has a cut and traveling down the cable inside the outer plastic.

    Re: pi pro leaking

Thanks for the reply . It never leaked untill year 3 ,since then it's been a nightmare. Maybe I'll try the whites cs one more time before tossing it in the charity donation box.
