I've seen now by doing the way to get better depth from this machine is mainly by adjusting pre amp gain and ac/dc sensitivity and the freq. if there is a big emi issue. sweep speed filters and vdi sens to a lesser degree. everything else seems to be just a matter of taste. not too much disc. either. I usually just modify the coin and jewelry modes. just my thoughts or am i missing something important? Donj
