    White's 6000D

Hello, picked up a 6000 D and was wondering something. One of the knobs(GEB knob) is extremely hard to turn. Anybody know what causes this and how to fix it?

Hi, I have a solution for you. This is a problem I have ran into when I have serviced two way radios. You DO NOT want to use a penetration lubricant, you DO NOT want to use rubbing alcohol, this is the appropriate chemical to use.

On most knobs, they are eaither held on by friction, or by a small standard set screw.

    hope this helps

There should be a rubber washer under the knob, loosen the nob and adjust the tension, then retighten.
Dont ever use tuner cleaner on older Whites, they have lacqured boards if they get solvent on them they are done!!!!!!
