Battery life for Vision (V3)?

Got 1 coming and was wondering what real world numbers on battery usage are...
Headphones?
Detector Alkalines?
on Rechargeable LIMH?

I use the v3i. About 4 hours on rechargeable pack.about the same on Duracells .headphones get about 6 to 8 hours. But i hunt alot with tx boost on.

Sorry, been off for a while. If you want more than four hours out of your machine in one outting, go to NED(forum sponsor) and order an AW-2200 Li-Ion battery. On my DFX, I can go 4-5 days and a recharge takes 2 hours! It's the best money I've put in my system, including coils, ProPointer(a real close 2nd), rain covers, etc. If you hunt a lot, it's the best investment you can make.

Does it just slide in like the packs that come with V3? Looks like it wouldn't fit.

I went thru my first batteries and I'd say 5-6 hours on the detector pack, alkalines and about the same 4-5 hours on headphones.

How does it fit into your machine? the picture looks too different.

slides in just like the whites battery pack..and has a place you can reach in and grab it to pull it out..without tilting the detector..the lithium battery weighs alot less than whites also.. everything i own that has lithium ion batteries i so much better than any other kind of battery...
