Whites coil question?
I Have Whites MXT, and i have the 12 inch coil. Wanting to get another. What would you recommend. The 5.3, or the 4x6, or something else?
Thanks,

Re: Whites coil question?
Depends on what you want to do. If you are looking to get a little more defined search I would go with a smaller DD coil plus it will help keep out a lot of the trash. But if you want to cover more ground I would stay with the original. Good luck.

The 4x6 is a pretty handy coil, especially if you are used to the 12. You'll find it helps separation of targets greatly. It'll also get more depth than the 5.3. However, MXT owners that get the 10D2 say that it really wakes the detector up.

Here in Russia like 6 "and 12.5" from Detech ... coil light and little noise ...
And of course 10 "DD coil is my favorite

Re: Whites coil question?
I almost always use the D2 (10"DD coil) it will get dimes at 10"+ when running +2 gain and separates pretty good. You won't pass up much with that coil for sure and when hunting pounded parks just listen for those whisper deep targets running about 6 discriminate to avoid the trash. HH
