    New to metal detecting

My wife is new to metal detecting and I want to get her a metal detector. This will be her 1st metal detector so I want to get her one that doesn't overwhelm her with all the settings. I know there are lots of turn on and go metal detectors but which one would you guys and gals suggest. I was thinking of the Whites 5ID what do you think?

Great Starter Machine, Or Even a Prizm would be nice too!

Have to agree with Ian, I started on a PRIZM, and its really an easy machine, even for a dimwit such as myself

If you must get the Whites, the Prizm is a fine detector to start with. Many also love the Garrett ACE 250.
