    mxt deepest coil for relics and caches?

    Any one have info on a versatile coil that will go deep but still pick up small relics an caches?Hot shot 15" coil is on my list.Any experience with bigger coils? Any input would be greatly apreciated....

    Large coils are deeper and cover a wide foot print. This means they see more ground minerals too. Larger coils are also heavy and very hard to use at all when you run into trash. There is not yet a versatile coil except the one that came with the detector. That is why you should buy everyone offered.

    1400 DD. Better in higher mineralization and punches deep with no realized loss of sensativity to small targets. Works good in trashy areas also for a big coil.

    went with 1400 dd...Still waiting for it....cant wait to have a wider coil too...
