the last hundred hits i,ve had on my detector has shown coin readings from penny to dollar. Everyone of these has been either rusty nails rusty iron or junk. Anyone else have this problem? Could their be something with my whites xlt? Tis is my 43rd year using metal detectors.

Are you using a factory pre-set program or a custom one?

I turn off the target ID on mine and rely mostly on my tone ID and pinpoint VDI numbers. I only dig + pinpoint VDI numbers. I am using a custom coin & jewelry program.

Might be easier to help if we knew more information.

Like jglunt asked are you using preset or custom. If you are using custom program, switch to one of the preloaded program to see if it works correctly.

Also when you air test it, does it give the correct ID for good and trash items.
Like does it give 85 for quarter (or close to 85) and what will a rusty nail show when you
    just air test it?
