    White's pole length

I just started using an MXT I bought over the weekend. The poles are extended as far as they can, but I feel like I'm almost tripping over the coil compared to other detectors I've used. I have to scan with coil much closer to feet than I am used to.

I'm 6'0 so not particularly tall, are all the White's like this?

You can get a tall man rod for it.

Just curious, what direction do you have the curve of the first piece of the rod (metal lower rod coming out of the rod that holds the box). In the manual it mentions you can have the curve turned downward, so that it would be closer to your feet.

I bought a XLT last week, I am 6'3 and purchased the tall man rod (9.99) from a local dealer.
I didn't hold them up to each other but it seems about 10 inches longer. I have it about three clicks in and the coil is out much further than my Eagle Spectrum with standard size rod.
