Which Two Coils are the best for the DFX other than standard?

My new DFX arrived today along with Excelerator's 5" round and 12" round coils. Not being sure of either, I'm going to hold off using them until I do the home work I should have already done. I got the two coils at give away prices is the only reason I ordered. I need to ask the DFX users out there their opinions as to the best two coil sizes and brands I should count on getting other than the standard 950. I know I need a small coil, preferably in the 5inch range and a larger coil and would actually prefer something in the 15 inch realm.

Do you have the 950?? If not the 6X10 Eclipse should be your next coil. With a 5 inch the 6X10 and the 12 inch coils you should be able to hunt almost anywhere. I know of a guy who has the 18 inch coil from Kellyco and has used it a few times.....too hard to swing. Better off getting the Bigfoot from Jimmy Sierra's website.That is if you want a big coil.

Sounds like you have enough coils! Sounds like you maybe bought from Kellyco? I would charge the battery and go hunt! Use the 5" in trashy areas and your larger coil in open fields with less trash. I would not get to carried away with buying every coil in the book! The dfx is very accurate as you will see. If you bought new...I am assuming you also received the stock coil. Sounds like you are ready! Don't forget you also received a battery pack with non rechargables throw those in and read manual once. I use my small 5.3 eclipse coil 90%....went down because it is getting repaired hopefully as we speak!

I know you had an exploder or still have it....man sounds like you are getting ready for a war! Did you not just purchase the new Fisher also
