    Re: Coinmaster 1000 Series 3

I started hunting over 35 years ago with a similar model. It's a no frills, non-discriminating detector but I do recall that they have a tuner which could be tuned to ferrous or non-ferrous metals and ground balancing, which should help on the beach. Hold the detector with the coil raised a couple feet parallel to the ground and tune left or right until it no longer responds when coil is lowered back to the ground. Wet sand or salt water will require retuning. Start in the dry sand and dig every target that repeats in 2 directions, left to right and back and forth. I've found ton of stuff with my old one. Good luck.
