    6x10 DD coil question

I am going to have to buy a 6x10DD coil.
Are there any issues about pinpointing with this coil?
Where does it pinpoint? Is it exactly in the center or a little forward of the center?

No problem pinpointing.. Never had any trouble on any machine I've used though.. It seems to pinpoint under the dot molded in it, right at the coil attatchment flange..

    Re: 6x10 DD coil question

It does pin point at the rod connection, however once you move the coil you can misjudge by an inch or two. I hated it when I started using mine. The best way I have found and was recommended by others is once you find a target. Pinpoint it, it will be loudest under the center line of the coil (right down the middle). Pull the coil back or push it forward and when the tone stops the target will be at the tip or heel of the coil depending on wether you like to push it forward or pull it back to locate.
Now that I have been using it awhile, no problems pinpointing.

I too, had problems pinpointing with the 6X10 at first and actually put it away for a while. I took it back out about a month ago and really "played" with it. Now, I like it better than the stock coil.
