Classic III for $275- Whaddya think?

First off I should say this is the best site on the Net.
I'm fairly new at this game but I'm hooked. I can think of at least 25 old homesites that I've found while Turkey Hunting in western Arkansas and I'm sure everyone of them have at least one quart jar filled with silver coins waiting to be dug up!
Anyway, I'm about to pull the trigger on my first purchase. Does anyone use or have an opinion on a White's Classic III? And is $275 a fair price to pay?
I will mostly be relic hunting except one trip to Gulf Shores each year for beach hunting.
Any help or opinion is greatly appreciated!!!!

IS IT THE NEWER STYLE CLASSIC III?? SL STYLE?? IF SO ITS A GREAT DETECTOR THAT NEW COST JUST ABOUT $400...GREAT FOR HUNTING TRASHY AREAS EVEN DOES WELL ON THE BEACH..I HAD AND USED ONE FOR 3 HARD YEARS!! THEN GAVE IT TO A BUDDY HE HAS PUT 2 MORE HARD YEARS ON IT....IT HAS GOT HIM A LOT OF NICE SILVER AND GOLD JEWELERY.HE USES IT ON THE SALT WATER BEACHES HERE IN NEW ENGLAND. WET AND DRY SAND.
