Whites Surfmaster II

Just got a Surfmaster II. It's had a lot of use; and needs some new flexible boots where the cords go into the machine. Anywhere besides the dealer to get these replaced?

The dealer will only send it off the the Whites Service dept. Save the time and do it yourself. Whites might do the replacements free anyway and will give it a presure test and tune up if you need it. They upgraded my Surfmaster to a Pro and replaced the earphones, course I paid for this upgrade.

Never take it back to the dealer as some charge you just to send it in while the work is free from the manufacturer.

Is that the VLF one you just won off ebay with the surf video? I saw 2 diffrent ones on ebay about 2 or 3 weeks ago ?? ==Jim==

You got a good price on it even if it is a little rough looking.

Yes Jim....It's the one off of ebay. It looks like they used it heavily for beach hunting. It is not submersible in this condition. The control box had dust and a little sand in it. I blew it out with compressed air; and had to replace a 9 volt connector. Works great....just well loved and used. It needs the boots replaced all around and could use new padding on the headphones. Thanks for the info Sandman.

Another note....this thing air tests DEEP. I was really surprised. Can't wait to actually use it! HURRY UP SUMMER!!!!
