Whats the M6 run $, really. . . .
Hi all,
I'm in the market but I see so many different prices on the M6 and the MXT, that I really don't know what to expect when I have the "C" notes to [pick one up.
What can I expect to pay for an M6 or a MXT?
thanks

are you looking for new or used???
If new, then let me suggest this. First, especially if you are a beginner, I would look for a local dealer with a good reputation, sure you may pay a bit more but he will be right at your door steps to give you a hand. Second, any of the dealers sponsoring this web forum or any of the other major detecting forums are safe to deal with. In the end you may save a few bucks on a new detector but its not gonna buy life altering, mega bucks savings. Call and talk to some of the dealers, they are more than happy to help you.
I dont have a local dealer. If you want, drop me a message and I will be happy to tell you who I use.
Hope this helps,
John

You should be able to get one at a dealer for about 595.00 or the MXT for about 680.00, of course you will have to pay shipping if you do not have a dealer close enough to you. It's always nice to get a fresh new machine from a good dealer with support. I have two dealers, one is 3 miles from me and is actually an electronic repar shop. They don't discount anything and are not knowlegable. I drive about 40 miles to get to another dealer that is great. Sells the full line and has it all in stock, accessories, books, coils etc. Lets you try stuff, what a great shop he has. Also has a full line of the other major brands. Does mail order but no web site which I don't understand. A treasure hunters paridise!

I've heard a lot of good reports on the MXT. Check with Ken Wright in Warren.

I just got my DFX back from White's, and they included the usual Main Catalog and Accessories Catalog (and Prizm coupon).
Yep, it's the MXT that's $799.95 list and the M6 is $699.95. Sounds like your dealers are improving on those prices by a good bit.
