Tell me about my Whites Silver Eagle II

I purchased my whites silver eagleII in the mid 90's and really never put it to use.

I know the spectrum series seemed to get the thumbs up over the unit I purchased. Oh well.

I wish it had the bar graph along with the vdi numbers and coin reference. ( quarter, dime, etc.). IIRC the graph is more accurate than the numbers scale .. is it not? I know when I am testing over a coin my numbers seem to jump around allot.

opinions please... Is this a good, great , adequate machine?... I plan on going out with my 80 year old father and want to make each trip worth our time . Anytime spent with dad is great but I'd like to find some coins and have him work the MD as well without too much difficulty. I don't mind buying a new machine to enhance the outing.

    thanks

    thanks

The VDI numbers are what I like.
My eagle numbers do not jump around on a for sure target.
A silver dime will stay one number unless there is some trash near by.
After geting a good VDI reading I go slow with my coil over target if it still reads good I dig.
If it disapears going slow its most likely junk.
    This works for me.
    I hope this helps.
