Finally giving up the old Garret Freedom ace Plus and bought a new DFX. Cant wait for it to get here!

WHEN YOU GET IT,
TURN IT ON.

SCROLL DOWN AND SELECT EEPROMS DEEP SILVER PROGRAM

THEN IT WILL SAY HOLD AT WAIST LEVEL AND AND PRESS ENTER.

THEN IT WILL SAY LOWER TO GROUND AND PRESS ENTER.

PRESS MENU AND SCROLL DOWN TO MIXED MODE, TURN IT OFF!

NOW YOUR GOOD TO GO!
IF IT CHATTERS A LITTLE, GO A HEAD AND PRESS MENU AND SCROLL DOWN TO SENSITIVITY,
IT WILL BE AT 75 TURN IT DOWN TO 69

THIS HAS BEEN A GREAT PROGRAM FOR ME.

DFX GIVES YOU SOUND TONES, VDI#S , VISUAL ICONS, BAR GRAPH.
CONCENTRATE ON SOUND TONES FIRST,
VISUAL ICONS ARE THE LEAST ACURATE
VDI #S ARE SECOND TO LOOK AT.

ALSO IF YOU WANT DEEP COINS, ORDER THE SPIDER 12 INCH LOOP.

Congrat's, I think you will love your DFX. If you haven't checked it out yet, register at www.dfxonly.com Lots of good help there. "Digging Deeper with the DFX" by Jeff Foster is a good reference too.

Congratulations on the new DFX. As Schrecky said there's lots of info on http://www.dfxonly.com. Jimmy Sierra Normandy, a noted Whites dealer & Jeff Foster, the author of "Digging Deeper with the DFX" (which I recommend you buy) each have a page there. Questions & answers abound! There's no stupid question there. There's even a page for newbies. You'll be welcome there.

Not trying to draw you away from this great site but if you have a DFX that's all that's discussed on the site. Devoted entirely to the DFX.

It just arrived last nite have the batteries charged and cant wait to get out there to try it!! I used my old garret in my yard now lets see what whites can find that i have missed....(The house was built in the 30s and no silver yet)
