What kind of batteries do you use in your XLT?

I would like to know what kind of batteries do other XLT users use in their machines, and how long do they typically last. How do you decide when it is time for new ones. I am pretty new to this and have only used alkalines and NiMh. I have no problems with the alkalines (Only on my second set) and I had no luck with the Nimn, you can check my other post on the White's forum if you want to see what that is all about.

I use duracell AA nimh 2650 mAh rechargeables, with a rayovac universal charger.I bring a spare set of 8 cells
with me but never had to use them.never timed it but I am sure it is more than a days play.I keep each set of
8 cells separate (one set marked) and rotate between charges.I hope this makes sense.the stock batt and wall
    charger died ages ago.
I am a landfill of ideas

I use energizer AA 2500 mah rechargeables, charge them at home or in my vehicle. I also have a spare set hot and ready to install. I never had to swap out during an all day hunt yet
