coinmaster 2 db

I have an oportunity to exchange a box of old baseball cards, from when I was a kid, for a mint "coinmaster 2 db". Is this detector even worth using? Am I going to have to ground balance all the time? I am an enthusiastic novice. I enjoy my Garrett Treasure Ace 100. Even though I know it is at the bottom of the metal detector world. I just don't want to give away my cards for something even less than what I have. Quick replies are appreciated as I am scheduled to meet him tomorrow. Thanks.

Even without knowing how old your "old" baseball cards are......I'd say keep the cards....BTW, Welcome to Tnet....

Keep the cards. The Coinmaster 2db was my first detector. I bought it at sears about 1978-1980 and I believe it was about 180.00 but I could be off on that. Anyway, yes it works but nothing like the modern detectors. KEEP THE CARDS!
