    White classic SL-ID

I have a White MD it has Classic SL on the top I believe and Classic ID on the side. Which is the model you go by? It has a Bluemax 800 on it. I would appreciate any information on its use and your honest opinion of it. I am new to this and don't know the limits or quality of its capabilities? I am still trying to learn how to use it properly any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ken

If you don't have an operating manual you can go to Whites web site and down load a copy. other than that I have not used a classic sl or classic id. I have used a idx pro and rally like it except for the lack of a depth finder. i bought it for my wife because it was easy to use and lite.

The classic ID is a very good detector. Not allot of bells and whistles but gets the job done, dependable, well built and will serve you well. I still have one that I keep for when somebody wants to try detecting. Theres not much a high end detector will find that the Classic ID won't.

    Kenl,
I've been using the Classic ID since 1999. To me it is one great machine.
My hunting buddy has been through 3 different Whites machines, and 1
Mine-Lab. He has told me that it is unbelievable how many good finds I
have found when we hunt the same location. It's so easy to use. But I will
say that persistence is everything in anything you do. I do work at hunting
a spot long and hard. The bottom line is, if your at a spot where there was
never a coin dropped, then you won't find any. Location is everything.
