Not that I am aware of.... I would google "tye siding". There were several camps in the 1880's where they cut railroad ties. Plus there was a WW2 POW/CCC work camp located near the summit of snowy range pass.

Never did did get to hunt either spot. I moved to the black hills of SD back in march. I'm still only a couple of miles from Wyoming. Only 2 miles from the Cheyenne/deadwood stage route.

Thanks Chris, The CCC camp is the one being torn down. I guess that UW couldn't afford the maintenance anymore so they let their permit expire. Sounds like a fun place to poke around.

Pretty country up in the Black Hills and a lot of history there too.

I believe this is the medicine bow mountain range. Good ghost town info in the Bonanza trail by wolle, but a better source is the medicine bow mining camps by Mel Duncan. Some lost mine stories in the later one. Currently researching this region now.
