Hi skeeterd I haven't been back there in a few weeks. Found a few other places. Maybe next season I'll go back and hit it. HH

Inspired by your research - I am hunting places with Historical aerial photos dot com too!

I found found 100 year old ball fields in obscure neighborhoods. I'll send you a silver dime if I find one. Thanks again!

CoinFetcher Your welcome. Keep your silver dime if you find any. Glad you were inspired. I like the research part as much as the detecting. If I find anymore research links or tools I'll post them. Going to be doing a lot of researching this winter. Getting ready for spring. HH

the old fair grounds here ran from 1895 to 1930s then a cattle lot for 10 years then a rodeo ground till turned into baseball diamonds about 15 years ago. still lots of area that is not ball field. but the junk is hard to deal with. so far I have found a few Wheaties, car parts hunks of iron, razor blades, and the pull tabs and can slaw are so thick its almost impossible to find a place to balance your detector. does anyone have any secrets or systems to working such a area.
