I have been hunting for 40 years, and feel part of this was brought to Okinawa before the end and have a feeling in my bones it is near Chinen Castle area
There has always been rumors of gold coins put away in Okinawa before the surrender, but who knows,,,,,

The story I heard about these gold bars was that the Filipinos only allowed the Japanese buyers to take a sample from one of the bars. The Japanese buyers insisted on taking a sample from a bar of their choosing but were denied. "No, that's enough, that's enough." said the Filipino. In the end, the Japanese were scammed out of many millions of dollars. Is this story not true?

If True they Deserved to be Scammed.
Only a wanna be Scammer would take a Deal like that,
Without testing the Bar of their Own choice fully.
