Description of Website: This site describes University of California at Berkeley's collection of very detailed fire insurance maps, what is available, and names of vendors who sell them, if access to Berkeley is not available. These maps, which show building outlines and usage at the turn of the century, are often used by treasure hunters, coin shooters, and bottle diggers, because potential artifact sites can be located to within a few feet.
