Description of Website: The official site of the Gold Prospectors of Colorado. Newly updated with information on the club, club claims, annual events, and the Colorado Gold Panning Championships, as well as the World Dry Panning Championships. There are some photos of last years competitions and of some of the events that take place as long as the ground isn't frozen! Information can be downloaded on membership, dredge permit applications, and BLM permits for the Arkansas River in Colorado. This is a club that has been around since 1974, and has provided for a family oriented prospecting experience. With annual dues of only $20 single and $25 family, you might just think about planning a vacation. We have about 500 acres of claims in some of the historic mining sites of the 1800's. 1996 was a great year on our main claim. Check us out. Happy Hunting!
