Help!!
Married for just three months and already lost my wedding ring. My wife is calm however i will be disappointed if i can't find it.
Here's the situation:
Working in a neighbors attic I believe the ring came off somewhere in 9 inches of freshly blown loose cellulose insulation, while i was vigoursly brushing my pants off. There is enough room in the attic to move about and operate a metal detector.
My question is would it even be worth it to rent or buy a metal detector to try to find my ring. Given that i suppose i would pick up all sorts of metal in the structure of the building. I have zero experience working with metal detectors and am ignorant as to what they are able to detect or thier sensitivity. If anyone could help me out with some information? or a good website to check out? what you would recommend? where i could get a decent metal D? or where one could rent it? Are you able set the thing to just detect a platinum ring or exclude picking up every nail and screw in the ceiling? Is platinum even magnetic?
I'm reaching here but any advice that results in helping me find my ring will be rewarded, and i'm not talking cookies.
Thanks, Aaron Kraft
