I am looking for metal detectorists who wish to join me on the metal detecting trip of a life-time to southern Russia this august, 2004. We will be guided by Russian archeologists and will have exclusive permission to bring in and take out of Russia our metal detectors, to exclusively be allowed to metal detect virgin sites (ghost towns, settlements, forts and battlefileds from 10th century to the 19th century)....plus permission to bring home finds dating from 1500 to the present (baring any item that is deemed of national importance to Russia).
