It's always a pleasure to receive permission to check out a promising site, but when John Powell was told to bring along not only his detector but any earthmoving equipment he thought might come in handy at the long-abandoned township... well, who could turn down an invitation like that? A number of Colonial homes had once stood there, and this was a chance to get right down to the level where items had been lost by their occupants long ago.
