Hey Scott I don'y know if other message scent or not. I could'nt get used to the vaquero not having any form of id tone or otherwise. It would find deep targets but more junk than I wanted to dig. The minelabs in my opinion after learning how they work are pretty darn accurate. I used my vaquero for over a year and with the explorer Ifrequently dig more silver in a day then the year with the tesoro. I have not used the 505 but a good freind has the 705 and loves it. I don't know if you have used one but the build quality is awesome. My explorer is 13 years old and still

Hello atomicscott, I am new to metal detecting and very excited to go out and find some old homesteads and intersting sites to go hunting. If you have any tips or suggestions that would be great since I have no idea as of yet where to look. I live in Moreno Valley by the way.
