  1. Need help to ID the fossil

I've heard them called worm tubes by a geologist and (at least in Ohio) they are usually found in Devonian formations.
  2. 🥇 BANNER Amazing old gold ring!

    Oy! Subtitles! Thank you.
  3. Are the Simplex buttons durable?

Yessir, I haven't had a whole lot of time to detect this year but I did a good amount of field hunting in the Spring and went down to Florida to do some beach hunting and it is still working great.
  4. 1851 US Three-Cent Piece, 3-Canadian LC?s, 1837 One Penny Token

Thanks Dave, I was down in Florida for a bit so I haven't been on TNet much. My Simplex picked up a trime last winter at 7-8 inches without a problem... they give a surprisingly good signal for being so small!

Congrats on the trime! Those little things are tough to find even on our side of the lakes!

Well folks, I'm back! Did a bit of detecting along the treasure coast but only ended up with one piece of maybe gold jewelry. I haven't looked at it up close yet though so it's probably just plate. It was a great deal of fun but I discovered beach hunting is not really my thing... too hot, too...
  7. Bullet Found in River

Nice one! On a bit of a side note: what is the law in Virginia that you mentioned? Just curious.

Dang Bart. I don't even know what to say other than that shiny yellow roundness is something very few of us will ever see, you've definitely put in the hours and had your fair share of luck too... huge congrats!

I think that's what it might come down to. None of my field sites are a go for today so I think I'm gonna head down to the 1870s house that produced gold, some late 1800s-1900s silvers, and a couple coppers last summer... I haven't hit it with the Simplex yet!!!

Morning all! Thinking I might go out and do some detecting today... so busy haven't been out in a few months lol. Don't even have any sites lined up for this year yet.
  11. Failed Oil-Seed Rape - Day 5 - 4 Hammered + CELTIC SILVER...

Very nice finds as always! Is this your second Cunobelinus silver of the year or am I thinking of something else?

Morning all. Yeah WD, it was a beautiful day out but I'm not in any competitions... just getting ready for a fish fry in a few weeks. :laughing7: Don't worry AARC I'll remove this pic later.
