  1. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

I have responded to Homar’s post a couple of times, but have technical issues... in short, I am researching the idea of adding a drone to my toolbox 🧰 Let’s see if this post makes the trip. 💭🧐☕️☕️☕️
  2. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

Update:..... Well, I have made progress! Still not enough progress... I have found the elusive, first edition! It has a map and gps coordinates for one important landmark and leaves part of the instructions in another elusive book !!! So..... I now have three maps, that are very close to one...
  3. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

You are dead right about that Homar. I have spent a month tracking leads back to a source.... Now redirecting to the next source. Time is not my friend... too much has passed already and not enough left of my youth..⏳⏳⌛️☕️☕️☕️ Now I’m trekking through used bookstores to find a “first...
  4. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

Resorting and repacking first aid kit. And doing the same thing to my supply and trail gear packs, kinda feels like I’m starting over. Just planning a day hike to check out, what I hope will be a trail marker and hopefully get a new azimuth pointing to the next trail marker/monument. Hope...
  5. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

It’s good to hear from you, and glad that you have a project to plug along on. I probably will have to call on your wisdom, after I put my hands on this first road sign. Happy hunting... for now... till the fish are ready to catch. #/;0{>~ ☕️☕️🔥
  6. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

Minetres, I plan on attempting to clean the mud “dirtdobbers “ nests off the face, with water and a toothbrush, as much as I can without disturbing the face of it. I don’t want to introduce anything to that surface but water. I want safe and sound for the next half millennium of explorers...
  7. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

Crash bandicoot, if I live long enough, these paths may take me to your end of the state!! Although I hope I find a common termination point at the Arkansas River!! ☕️☕️
  8. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

Homer, I also picked up a little more information on the Jesuits, just lately. I plan on doing some homework on the info and it’s sources. About the fly tying... you are right about the crippled looking flies! I use heavy hooks to aid in mimicking the injured movement under the surface...
  9. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

I’m posting this photo, from another source, for some clarification on a few spots. It’s a little bit better lit. And I can see one thing a bit better. The “C” in Sancto does not appear to be broken, as I thought, based on the last photo of it. I think, now, that it is the work of dirt...
  10. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

Thanks MDOG. I will take you up on that. I am working on five different trails that lead in southerly directions +/-*. The hills and mountains, that are in the path are full of “trail markers “ and “huge monuments “, and the ones that I have identified from other sources, are in many cases...
  11. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

Homer, I’m just as glad to see you are still on the green side of the grass. My shutdown was part healing and part... a sense of hopelessness. But my health is better than it has been in years... not healed, but better! The sense of hopelessness was in part, the realization that my field of...
  12. TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

Almost a year later, and I am slowly picking up my search again... I hope you are doing well in your endeavors. I received some new information today, that is refueling my desire to finish my long slow race. Too much information to release at present, and a little bit of speculation to muddy...
  13. Misc data and adventures of a Tayopa treasure hunter

Jose had outlived all of us, before we met him. He had set a pace that none of us will ever match. He has called us in from the dark and cold, into the light and warmth of his campfire and shared his sock coffee, freely. He has taught us and inspired us, and given to us, a unique...

Well said, Crow. sometimes I think that you may be more, a poet, than a pirate or profiteer.
