Maybe?? Not the material I'd except for a rosette because it's not brass or iron backed brass like the one I found in the same town. But I guess they made them out of other metals?
There's stacked rocks and walls and definitely some 1700s activity in there. None of that shows on 1850 map at all. But also somewhere in there a 1930s dump. a lot of hunting in there given the shotgun shells and ammo everywhere. More recent on the scarf buckle makes sense it wasn't very deep...
This was all found at same site except dish but hunt was spread over a few 2 hours windows I had b4 work and a Saturday afternoon. Tons of ammo and shotgun shells to pick through.
Plate was found an another dumpsite. It was made in Trenton, NJ around 1900. The 4 Indians are 1864,1878,1879, 1881. Darker copper has pretty much nothing left in it but could see what I think is an L from Liberty and its a thick coin. Makes sense to be an early U.S. large cent. Thicker than...
Thanks all. I'll post video of it going for stick ride and link it. I had birds growing up so know if you put a stick up to just above their feet they usually hop on. If you list carefullyyou can hear the other owls calling.
I went to leave my cousins house and while I was starting car I looked up and saw a head and little ears right in the center of my grill. Initial reaction was ok what joker put a stuffed animal on my grill as a hood ornament. Turned out to be this little fella. His family was in tree above my...
Was pretty deep in water too. The braided hair i found there was in the shallower gravel and pretty corroded. Suspect Lady Liberty spent most of her time sealed in the clay layer since she was pretty much in it after I got down to her.
It's been hot 🔥 so I've been detecting creeks a little before work the last week. These are from three different places. Lot of work. The brass lock body and 1800 Drapped bust came out of 3 feet of water. Looking like it's either the 1800 over 1798 or 80 over 79 varity. Regardless it's a...
Sometimes I get on a site and theme presents itself. This time it happened to be keys, silver and big amber bottles. The dirt is rough around the ruins though so the mercs are chewed. One is a 1926 the other has no date but a Denver mint mark obviously a 1916d 😆 Surprised the 1944p war nickel...
Thank you. Kerns was founded in the 1889 in an an ex butcher shop in Trenton NJ. His early bottles were circle slug blob tops with Kerns and Meyer 122 Rose Street Trenton,NJ on them. Meyer left in 1895 to work at a brewey. Then the bottles just had E.L. Kerns Trenton,NJ on in them. At some...
I was attempting to get back to the site if the big small cent spill and got detoured down a road I haven't been on before. Realized I hadn't hunted two sections of woods there. Went back mother's day before dinner and got on a marble, daddy button, an 1920s Amber Kerns bottle I've been looking...
