  1. Need help IDing these detectors

Does anyone know what brand, model or type these two detectors are? I don't have better photos. They kind of look like White's, but look vintage.
  2. 🥇 BANNER Gold Ring With Eagle On It

I believe it's a Signet Ring, black sealing wax. Circa 1700's. Here is a similar one. Signet Ring with Double-headed Eagle

  4. Should I buy?

It appears to be authentic, here are some photos.
  5. Should I buy?

I have a chance to buy a used Minelab GPX 5000 for about $700. Looks like it retails for about $4,000. All it needs is a battery but it has a ton of other extra stuff with it. Is it a good detector? worth buying? Thanks
  6. DECORATIVE CROSS - MORE INFORMATION???

Couldn't find a match, but great find. This is as close as I was able to find.
  7. Not sure

Looks like a plain rock to me, I don't see an axe head, but could be wrong, just an opinion. But this is suppose to be a Quartzite axe head also: http://www.symbolicmessengers.com/Archaeology/axe1.jpg
  8. ✅ SOLVED Unknown item please help ID

Thanks perfect ID. Would be cool if I found the whole clock. Seems pretty old, what would you say 70's?
  9. ✅ SOLVED Unknown item please help ID

Found this in a public park. The park has very old history and this was in an untouched area of the park. It appears to be brass or copper, I am betting on copper due to the gold color. It's roughly 2 1/4" X 2 1/2".
  10. Looted Battlefield

I tried that. I prepared a long list and documents to create an authorized state metal detector permit, I went to Richmond, VA and presented it to the state archaeologist (wanted the governor but blah) and was shot down. They would rather put us in jail rather than try actually fixing it.
  11. Looted Battlefield

I used to argue the same point, why let it rot in the ground. However because at least half of the people will sell their finds, no one knows where the items came from, it's history is lost. When you pull a very important item from a historic area, it needs to recorded that it was discovered there.
  12. Looted Battlefield

Maybe we should start posting good things about our hobby and get the media involved, such as donating items to museums and such. You know how the hell's angels had clubs in different cities, we could band together and form an alliance to do good things and help out police for finding objects...
  13. Looted Battlefield

This really upsets me and this is why we have such a bad name and are banned in most places. I believe these guys need life in jail. Civil War battlefield looted by treasure hunters
  14. Got permission for 1890 Mansion, but question

Yesterday I got permission from one of my customers to metal detect this fall at an 1890 Mansion. He said there are big giant old trees on the property near the house. From what I've read, it seems most Cache's are found at the base of the oldest or biggest tree on the property and not very...
  15. My first Liberty

Thanks everyone. Here are some pictures of it. I am guessing it the flat date and not the raised date kind. I am afraid to clean it anymore.
