is this kgc?

I think they probably are KGC but just looking at these pictures I can't say 100% yes. I would suggest to look for other signs such as bent trees or rock circles or rock piles, etc. If you find any of these things, that will take your confidence level up higher to proving that this is a KGC site.
Sorry, I put a lot more info and detail in my response but Tnet limits this to 420 characters.

Good luck,
Charles

1-thank you for taking the time to answer me. I really appreciate it. what about boulders in a straight line? an how deep do they usually bury the loot? on average that is. bc not far from the signs/symbols they are another set of bluffs with a rock about the size of a frige sitting out beside it with a anchor about the size of a piece of paper on it.

Luke, I've hunted in East Texas and the desert SW. In all layouts, there is a starting point. The signs and symbols give you information about the layout. Either distances used, bearings used, topographic info, and what you are looking for, etc. The first thing you want to figure out is what is the starting point.

In E. Texas, it was always a bent tree pointing to the first marker. In the desert is a 'scoop' about 2.5 to 3 feet in diameter and maybe 1.5feet deep with hot rocks around it and in it. You must find this beginning point and figure out what is the first bearing to take from it. The layout is a line to line layout of bearings particular to the site. It is increasingly difficult puzzles as you go.

could a person possible get a bearing point from these carvings? bc all the trees around these markings are smaller pines . so if you do find a bent tree by markings you get the direction by the direction from the tree to markings? or does it change once i go from the tree to the S/S. IM JUST trying to wrap my head around this. thank you again
