What about the dual field? I'm looking to possibly get a p.i unit just once again not sure which I want. to many reviews and I prefer asking someone that knows.

Minelab was doing away with the Sov GT and I think they are going to reintroduce it as a water proof unit. It is just too good as is.

The Sand Shark is a fantastic detector for depth and is fully water proof from the salt spray too. The only con is it responds to trash very deep but it finds rings way down there too. Any of the munity frequency detectors are good on the wet sand with out being unstable. The AT Pro is not stable on a saltwater beach.
