Hi Janet,

I don't know anything about the Lake Grapevine or Lake Lewisville permits. Where do you go to apply for them? I guess there are some ghost towns around here somewhere too that can be hunted. And I know Flower Mound has one or two parks that are on the lake in addition to the regular parks.
Week days probably work better for me to get away. I work at home so my days are flexible and the wife is home on the weekends so its harder to plan something unless its something she wants to go do too. I prefer not having a lot of people around but I haven't really done any detecting except in my yard since moving to the Dallas area.
I've got an Explorer XS but I'm thinking of upgrading to a CTX 3030 if I get more involved in detecting.
