I'm new to the hobby of Metal Detecting. My interest is currently only in older coins (that can be found here in the Midwest). I'm currently researching metal detectors for a purchase in the Spring. Currently, the leaders in my research for my target price range are: Teknetics Gamma 6000 w/ 11" DD, Fisher F5 w/ 11" DD and the Garrett AT Pro.

I have done amateur native american artifact hunting before... have a few arrowheads/spears of varying ages and a celt.
